Moe's Tavern Shopper - Winter 2001 - Vol. 5
By Moe
- This week's Moe's Tavern Shopper is brought to you by...
- Lenny and Carl.
- "Are you knocking beer?"
- "Nobody knocks beer."
First loss in months
All I can say is this: It's tough to win when you can't
tell who is playing forward and who is playing defense.
Positions, people!
Brilliant coaching
Although I must say that our halftime adjustments worked
quite well. Lesson: Listen to the coach.
Next game
when the hell is it? Anyone know?
Lineup
we'll be missing Marty and Dizzy.
Lori
Engaged, yes, but Moe's must be her first love. She's
been gone so long i've lost her e-mail - someone please
forward this and further announcements to her.
Weekdays with moe
There is a movement afoot to expand the franchise to a
second team during the week. Who's in?
Spring with moe
We will be playing again in spring, however, if you've
followed the e-mail correspondence, we haven't picked a
league yet. Too soon. We're not even in the playoffs yet.
Marty's just a cowboy
After last week's game, me and Marty headed to the beachwood
for points and a free dinner. ("Want some chicken with that fried?")
We played the jukebox and accepted free drinks, shot some pool,
said hello to Ralphie the postman, marveled at Stosch, and
generally amused Zeke Allmann, who was tending bar. All in all,
it was a decent night. Where were you?
An old cowboy
Marty, by the way, turned 30 that day. And you guys couldn't
even get him a win.
C*A*T*E*
Cate wants another championship in the worst way, and we mean
to give it to her. So let's shape up out there.
Did everyone pay?
By my accounting, everyone is paid up. But my accounting has been
a little bit sloppy this go-around. Can everyone just check their
consciences and remember if you've paid me?
Moe's out.
