Moe's Tavern Shopper - Winter 2001 - Vol. 8a By Guest Moe, Crash
Natasha and I are splitting the duties on this week's Shopper. I'm reporting on the first game, a glorious victory, and she on the second, an embarrassing loss. Which is not to say that I am a winner and she is a loser. After this past Sunday, we are all equally both. Game 1 recap (with interesting factoid): Moe's Tavern won 4-3. (Moe's Tavern has not lost a game where it held a lead going into the final 30 seconds) Crash scored the game-winner on a wicked wrister from the point. (In the past two seasons, Moe's Tavern has won every playoff game where Crash scores; Crash failed to score a single goal in the past two regular seasons, and in game 2 Sunday; Crash needs to start working out more) There were at least eight (8) occurrences of unbridled violence from our opponent. (In each case, Moe's retaliated in sly and undetectable ways that led to the frustration and ultimate defeat of its enemy) Final score shoulda been 6-3. (Over-social ref missed one goal whilst conversing with a spectator, and later blew the whistle as Woodsy, for once in position, bore down on an empty net) Energy and momentum from win were taken to Beaumont's between games. (Where they went down like a tuna melt and a couple Marlboros) (just kidding, Lisa) And now over to Natasha for a report on game 2.... Natasha?...
