Moe's Tavern Shopper - Winter 2000 - Vol. 4

By Moe

this Moe's Tavern Shopper is brought to you by
    Bill Brasky
    I don't like him...but I respect him

GLORIOUS VICTORY
Now that was the Moe's Tavern team we've come to love. A tenacious defense and a free-wheeling offense. Everybody do the *same thing* next week.

EARLY SEASON AWARDS
It's shaping up to be a barnburner in the Rookie-of-the-Year category between KRUSH and the WOODMAN. KOKO has the early lead for scoring leader, but CRASH got the hat Sunday. CATE once again leads the team in bruises. But the beer-drinking category is thus far having a down year. MOE and KOKO are tied for a lousy two. And no one is on the board at the billiards table. C'mon people, we've got a lot of catching up to do.

MONEY
Money is good. Especially when it's in my pocket. But a few stragglers out there have not yet paid up. What do I look like, North Community Bank to you? I'm fairly certain that the deadbeats are as follows: COLLINS, T-BONE, and PHILLIPS.

Pay up, or I'll send Bill Brasky after you.

BILL BRASKY
I went camping once with Bill Brasky, and in the back of the pickup he grabbed a deer and shook its head and said "Say my name, say it!" The deer said "Bill Brasky." Well, not quite, but it was pretty close for a deer.

NEXT WEEK
Game time is 3:30 p.m.

STRATEGY
We had great success with our forwards coming back more on defense, and our defense keeping the crease and slot clear. The Woodman is getting a little more comfortable in the nets, and came up with some big saves. Just remember, it's always 0-0. Grind it out.
